This intimate presentation of marble sculptures by the enigmatic Swiss artist Not Vital coincides with the first major UK exhibition of his work at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Muntognas, meaning ‘Mountains’ in the Swiss language of Romansch, presents ‘Dali stone’ sculptures made by the artist in 2013. Mined in the Yunnan province of China, the marble was sliced open to reveal the hidden landscapes within. An essay by Alma Zevi looks at the artist’s relationship to nature and art making.
