Through a small group of sculptures made in the 1950s, this exhibition offers a glimpse into the work of two giants of 20th century sculpture: Alberto Giacometti and David Smith. These two, very different, contemporaries both lived and worked in a kind of self-imposed isolation at the same time, but on different sides of the Atlantic. This catalogue includes an essay by David Anfam, which examines the silent dialogue between Giacometti and Smith.
